Traditional Tuina Chinese Massage Practitioner Course with certification

This is our one year Tuina or traditional Chinese massage course comprised of 7 modules taken over 14 contact days. There is also an option of completing the course in seven months. All modules are a combination of both theory and practice.

Time: 9:30am – 4:30pm

Curriculum:

  • Introduction and theory of Tuina (History, Qi, Yin Yang, five elements, twelve organs, six climatic factors, twelve channels and eight extraordinary channels, anatomy).
  • Commonly used acu-points (Including names, anatomical location and indications)
  • Qigong exercises for Tuina practitioners
  • Palpation, examination and diagnostic skills and techniques
  • Praying Mantis Tuina techniques and all their variations (Including applications and functions)
  • Clinical Treatments of muscular, tendon and bone issues (Including acute back pain, chronic back pain, sciatica, scoliosis, ankle sprain, stiff neck, frozen shoulder, tennis elbow, wrist pain, hip pain)
  • The use of topical herbal medicines with Tuina treatments
  • Written and practical exam (optional).

Price: £980 or £900 without exam or certification

Course Lecturer: James Rodriquez has been treating patients using Chinese Massage for 18 years and specialises in orthopaedics and traumatology.

Practitioner insurance will be available through Balens.

A four day intensive retreat, with the focus on summer and the fire element. We will be studying health preservation practices and theory including Daoyin, Meditation and Qigong from our Mount Hua sect praying mantis tradition. £280.

Nourishing Life in Autumn Retreat 17th-20th September 2021, 9:30am – 4:30pm.

A four day intensive retreat, with the focus on autumn and the metal element. We will be studying health preservation practices and theory including Daoyin, Meditation and Qigong from our Mount Hua sect praying mantis tradition. £280.
